A ‘starving’ cat, was rescued from a horrible ‘bag of bones’ condition
Khalon arrived at Allergic Rescuers KL in Malaysia, where he was in horrifically malnourished condition.
Rosy Kim, the organization’s founder, was his case worker.
She shared that her team received videos and pictures of Khalon before they managed to rescue him.
“I focused on getting him back to health,” Kim explained.
According to reports, Khalon faced challenging situations while Malaysia struggled with animal abuse and neglect.
Kim took Khalon to Dr. Teoh, a local veterinarian, who was shocked by his condition.
Dr. Teoh revealed that Khalon had some lice and the flu but was otherwise healthy.

A starving cat, Khalon was approximately three years old when found last June.
He was placed with foster parents, Kim Louise and Craig, to aid in his recovery.
Louise shared updates about Khalon on her Instagram account, @kim_and_the_cats. When Khalon first arrived, she described him as a “sad boney cat.”
In the post shared on social media, Khalon’s progress was seen to be remarkable.
Kim praised Louise and Craig for their dedication. “They spent a lot of time with him, and Khalon was so very happy,” she said. Khalon gradually gained weight, reaching 2.58 kg and then 3.42 kg as he recovered. His flu took time to clear, which delayed his neutering.

Fortunately, Khalon was adopted by Mike and Madeleine in Malaysia.
They had previously owned a cat named Bella and fell in love with Khalon after seeing him on Instagram.
Kim noted that the adoption process was smooth because Mike and Madeleine were warm and caring individuals.
Khalon quickly bonded with his new parents and Bella, although Bella was less enthusiastic.
Khalon now insists on grooming Mike’s beard and sleeps between Mike and Madeleine in bed.
He has transformed into a playful, affectionate cat who loves belly rubs and plays like crazy.
