The Florida Highway Patrol-Tampa shared footage of a dog tied to a fence near Interstate 75 in Tampa.

The pup stood in rising floodwaters that reached its stomach. An officer approached the frightened pup and reassured it, saying, “It’s okay.”

The video has the caption: “FHP Troopers rescued a dog left tied to a pole on I-75 near Bruce B Downs Blvd this morning. Do NOT do this to your pets please…”
