Fubao, the first giant panda born in South Korea who returned to China in early April, is set to make her grand “comeback” to the public eye on June 12.
Fubao was the first giant panda born in South Korea, which was a huge event. She became a symbol of friendship between South Korea and China. Earlier this year, Fubao went back to China, continuing her role as a goodwill ambassador between the two countries.
Chinese ambassador to South Korea, Xing Haiming said that Fubao had made significant
contributions to friendly relationships between China and South Korea.
Since her return to China in early April, Fubao has been living in a healthy condition. She weighs about 103 kilograms with a clean living environment. The keeper also cleaned the inner house for Fubao to make sure everything is clean and comfortable, while she enjoyed leisure time with the bamboo in the outfield.
According to National Giant Panda Conservation and Research Center, after completing more than two months of quarantine and acclimatization, the beloved giant panda Fubao will officially meet the public on June 12 at the Shenshuping Base in Wolong.
However, tickets for the Shenshuping Base are no longer available for reservation. It seems everyone is super excited about her “new” public debut.
