Rocky, a 3-year-old pit bull, has been cared for by Lollypop Farm, the Humane Society of Greater Rochester, since October 2022.
His family lost their home and could no longer care for him, according to Newsweek
Rocky has been adopted twice but returned both times since arriving at the shelter.
He has also experienced several two-week adoption trial periods, all ending without a permanent home.
“He was most recently returned this past September and has had no luck since,” said communications specialist Lindsay Brewer. “He’s a great dog, but he would thrive in a specific type of home.” Rocky would do best as the only dog in an adults-only environment.

On December 12, Lollypop Farm shared heartwarming news: Rocky’s adoption had been finalized.
