A poor dog was found with severely matted
The rescue organization, Mac’s Mission, received a call from a local resident about the dog, Pear
Pear was found in the middle of the road, completely covered in matted fur.
Accoring to report, the rescue team noted that Pear “didn’t even look like a dog,” but rather “looked like a wig”—just a wad of tangled hair.
Founder Rochelle Steffen stated, “It was lucky Pear didn’t get run over. She didn’t even look like a living dog.”
Pear then was rescued and had a transformation process.
Fortunately, Pear was rescued by a rescue center and started an incredible transformation.
Pear underwent a thorough grooming process. A dedicated team of volunteers worked tirelessly to remove the matted fur during what they called a “spa session.”
Steffen noted, “She was the sweetest and just sat there while we got all the terrible thick mats off. It took quite a while.” Thankfully, Pear did not have maggots in her fur, which is common for severely matted dogs.
Pear had remarkable transformation
While grooming Pear, the team discovered she was missing an entire eyeball.
This seemed to be an older injury but still required attention. Steffen shared, “We got her cleaned up, shaved down, and gave her a bath to remove any grime and fleas.”
After her treatment, Pear settled into a cozy space and quickly fell asleep, exhausted from her makeover.
