On social media, many viewers were stunned by a viral video showing a mysterious big cat in a Welsh village.
The incredible video captured a rare moment, highlighting the elusive wildlife of the area.
The petrified driver was stunned by a startling encounter with a big cat
Morgan Taylor, a 22-year-old delivery driver, was left ‘petrified’ after spotting a rare big cat.
He also believed that the wild animal he captured on video was a big cat prowling near the village of Rassau in Blaenau Gwent, Wales.
Taylor described the encounter as unsettling and recorded a video to document the sighting.
A rare big cat was captured in a viral video.
Taylor was making a delivery when he noticed something unusual in the bushes.
He quickly captured the encounter on video.
In the footage recorded on June 14, Taylor captured the large cat, which had spots reminiscent of a jaguar or leopard.
In the footage, the large cat appeared to be about 1.5 to 2 meters in length, a size he found impressive and alarming.
Taylor then described it as being “massive,” initially thinking it resembled a leopard.
He expressed his fear over the incredible moment, even comparing it to seeing a ghost.
Taylor described how the cat appeared to be investigating its surroundings silently
The video quickly went viral and sparked debate on social media.
Once the video was shared online, viewers began speculating about the cat’s identity.
Theories ranged from it being a lynx or bobcat to suggestions that it could be a leopard or even a large domestic breed like a Savannah or Bengal cat.
Some viewers praised the footage as the best evidence of a big cat sighting they had seen.
One person said: Thats a Savannah, a large domestic breed which is a hybrid of the Serval lynx and a domestic cat. They can be very large especially the first couple of generations from the original hybrid.
A second wrote: Body composition is totally wrong for a leopard. I reckon it’s an F6 Savannah with an amputated tail.
While a third commented: Thats a Savannah, a domestic cat. The breed originates from a hybrid of a Serval lynx and a domestic cat. They can be very large particular the first couple of generations from the original hybrid. Its nothing to be afraid of, a really nice breed.
Someone else said: The coat is pure Serval but the Serval is a lightly built cat with long legs so I would think this is a hybrid. Also the person who suggests a leopard needs to look at a picture of a Leopard!!
Despite various opinions, Taylor remains convinced the animal was a lynx. He likened it to a leopard cub in its early growth stages.
His encounter has solidified his belief that big cats may indeed be roaming the British countryside.
He humorously mentioned that anyone who encounters the animal should be ready to flee quickly.
He admitted that he would have done the same if he hadn’t been in his car during the sighting.
His comment highlighted just how startling the experience was for him.
