In Bridgend, South Wales, a touching story has emerged involving a lovable puppy named Chase.
A puppy was found roaming the streets with a heart-wrenching note attached to his collar.

The poor dog Chase was found with a heartbreaking note.
A puppy, Chase, a one-year-old, was discovered wandering alone, visibly scared and skittish. The note on his collar read:
“HELP ME!! My name is Chase. I am 1 yr old November 16. I am very friendly and kind, good with kids. I need a new home as my owner cannot take care of me. Please help me. Thank you.”
The heartbreaking message highlighted the urgency of his situation, prompting rescuers to step in.
A puppy Chase was then rescued and is now recovering at the shelter.
After being found, a puppy was taken to the Hope Rescue center in Llanharan.
Initial reports described Chase as “very nervous” and “shell-shocked” upon arrival.
He spent much of his time hiding in his kennel, unwilling to go for walks, play with toys, or interact with other dogs.
Hope Rescue’s team dedicated significant time and care to help Chase adjust.
They provided him with tender loving care (TLC) to build his confidence.
Within a short period, a foster family offered Chase a temporary home.
The foster family has two small dogs with whom Chase has bonded. He is showing signs of his playful nature and beginning to recover from his traumatic experience.
The emotional impact on Hope rescue
Hope Rescue expressed frustration over Chase’s abandonment. They said tha the dangers and trauma he faced while roaming the streets.
The organization noted that while they understand the pressures of difficult situations, abandoning a pet in such a manner is harmful and irresponsible.
The charity highlighted the increasing number of dogs being surrendered to their facility.
In August alone, Chase was one of 187 dogs brought in.
Hope Rescue’s Instagram post on August 26 aimed to reassure Chase’s previous owner that he was now safe and being well cared for.
Hope Rescue’s post included photos of Chase and the note found on his collar.
The post read: “Young Chase was found straying in the Treoes lanes, Bridgend earlier today. He had a note taped to his collar asking the finder to help him. Fortunately for Chase he was brought into the centre, and hopefully his owner will see this post and know that he is safe”
They conveyed their hope that Chase’s previous owner would see the post and find comfort in knowing that the dog was in safe hands.
The post also showed the shelter’s overwhelming demand, with 156 calls to take in 226 dogs in July and 146 dogs taken in August so far.
Chase’s story underscores the emotional and logistical challenges faced by animal shelters dealing with increased abandonments.
His journey from a scared stray to a beloved foster pup illustrates the resilience of animals. Thanks to the efforts of Hope Rescue and a caring foster family, Chase is on the path to recovery. Hope Chase finds a forever home filled with love.
