Bruce Willis, a 6-year-old orange tabby, endured a challenging life before finding his way to the Animal Humane Society in Minnesota.
He was seen struggling with health issues, including chipped teeth, a healed eye injury, and a positive test for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus).
After a long time living as a stray on the streets, he had visible scars and health issues.
Despite his rough exterior, Bruce’s affectionate nature shone through.
Whenever someone interacted with him, he would purr and melt into their embrace.
“Bruce is the sweetest and most affectionate boy around. All cheeks and love, he will brighten every day you spend with him,” the shelter wrote.

On International Cat Day, August 8th, Sandra discovered Bruce through the shelter’s Facebook page.
His picture touched her deeply. Although Sandra’s landlord did not permit pets, she decided to visit Bruce, initially just to look.
Upon meeting him, Sandra was struck by his sad eyes and the connection she felt.
Sandra couldn’t stop checking on Bruce’s status after her visit.
She even visited him frequently after discovering that Bruce had developed an upper respiratory infection.
As weeks passed and Bruce remained without a home, Sandra realized she was meant to bring him into her life.
Despite her difficulties, Sandra decided to adopt a furry friend, Bruce.
Sandra convinced her landlord to make an exception to the no-pets rule by sending a picture of Bruce. “I sent a picture of him to my landlord (how can you say no to those eyes) and I got permission to get him!” She recalled.
As a result, her efforts paid off. Bruce was finally able to move into his new home.

Upon arriving, Bruce immediately settled in, lying on the floor and purring contentedly.
“He didn’t stop purring all night. Since then, he’s been following me around no matter where I go,” Sandra shared.
