This is not the first time a cat has saved the life of its fellow animal without human assistance.

Previously, many people were astonished when they witnessed a cat saving a dog’s life from two fierce wolves.

Cat saves dog’s life from coyote attack

A Havanese dog named Oakley from Edmond, North Dakota, narrowly escaped death thanks to the family’s heroic cat, Binx.

The family’s outdoor security camera captured the entire incident, revealing a surprising rescue that left them in awe.

Lane Dyer, Oakley’s owner, let Oakley outside briefly while attending to two other dogs.

Moments later, the family heard a disturbance. Oakley rushed back inside, bleeding heavily from deep wounds on her chest and side.

“She ran upstairs after coming in, and we noticed she was bleeding badly,” Dyer shared with Fox News Digital.

His wife quickly wrapped Oakley and applied pressure to the wounds before rushing her to an emergency vet.

On the way to the vet, the family reviewed their security footage. They were shocked to see the two coyotes attacking Oakley—and even more astonished when their cat, Binx, charged at the wild animals. Binx hissed and pounced, driving the coyotes away and saving Oakley’s life.

Binx was not always a family pet. As a stray kitten, she began visiting the Dyers’ yard years ago.

Despite the family’s efforts to bring her inside, she prefers the outdoors, where she’s likely had to fend for herself in the past. “She lives in our backyard and likes being out in the elements,” Dyer explained.

Fortunately, Oakley received stitches and made a full recovery after the terrifying encounter. Thanks to Binx’s bravery, the dog is now back to her playful self.
